SmartPlastic
U.S. Patent No. 5,514,581 and other patents pending

Protocol for Use
SmartPlastic® is sterile and ready for immediate use. For all procedures, use standard tissue culture aseptic techniques.

Note: SmartPlastic® is visually indistinguishable from Falcon® brand disposable labware. Mark labware as necessary.

Store SmartPlastic® at room temperature.

To remove cells from SmartPlastic® : Cells may be dislodged with standard trypsinization procedures (0.05% trypsin, 0.02% EDTA).

ProNectin F Cell Attachment Factor
U.S. Patent No. 5,514,581 and other patents pending

Protocol for Use

Kit contains one vial of autoclaved, lyophilized ProNectin® F protein powder and one vial of autoclaved ProNectin® F Diluent (1 ml per 1 mg product). Use standard tissue culture aseptic techniques.

Store kit contents at room temperature. Keep diluent and stock solution sealed to prevent evaporation and/or contamination.

To prepare stock solution: Withdraw diluent and put into protein powder vial to dissolve powder. Swirl until completely dissolved. Stock solution concentration: 1 mg/ml ProNectin® F. Note: Because it is a saturated solution, crystals may have formed in the diluent or may form in the stock solution during storage. Warm solution to 37º C to dissolve any crystals that may have formed.

To coat substrates: Prepare only the amount of coating solution intended for use. Once the stock solution is diluted, ProNectin® F will eventually precipitate.

  1. Dilute the stock solution to the desired concentration with phosphate buffered saline (PBS) to obtain the coating solution. We recommend performing serial dilutions to determine the optimal coating concen- tration for your particular cell culture system. Typically, the effective concentration will be 10 mg/ml.
  2. Completely cover culture surface with coating solution. Leave for 5 minutes at room temperature.
  3. Remove coating solution. Rinse substrate twice with PBS.
  4. Seed cells onto the coated substrate immediately or allow substrate to dry for use at a later time. Coated substrates may be stored for up to 2 years at room temperature.

ProNectin F PLUS Cell Attachment Factor
U.S. Patent No. 5,514,581 and other patents pending

Protocol for Use

Kit contains a 1 mg vial of autoclaved, lyophilized ProNectin® F Plus. Use standard tissue culture aseptic techniques.

Store kit contents at room temperature. Keep stock solution sealed to prevent evaporation and/or contamination.

To prepare stock solution: Add 1 ml deionized water to vial to dissolve powder. Swirl until completely dissolved. Stock solution concentration: 1 mg/ml ProNectin® F Plus.

To coat substrates: See ProNectin® F Protocol.

ProNectin L
U.S. Patent No. 5,211,657 and other patents pending

Protocol for Use

Kit contains one vial of autoclaved, lyophilized ProNectin® L protein powder and one vial of autoclaved ProNectin® F Diluent (1 ml per 1 mg product). Use standard tissue culture aseptic techniques.

Store kit contents at room temperature. Keep diluent and stock solution sealed to prevent evaporation and/or contamination.

To prepare stock solution: See ProNectin® F Protocol.

To coat substrates: See ProNectin® F Protocol(effective coating concentration may be slightly higher with ProNectin® L).
